Our Sponsors & Supporters

THANKS TO OUR MOST RECENT SUPPORTERS—2010

Please patronize the sponsors and prize donors of Safe Haven's 3rd Annual Spring Dinner & Auction on May 15, 2010.

The Community Foundation of Western Nevada has granted Safe Haven $4,800 to fund an additional six-month term for our Educational Outreach Program Coordinator, Vicki Taylor.

NV Energy has granted $2,500 towards the construction of our new tiger enclosure. This amount will allow us to construct a lockout and multi-level climbing/shade platform.

We have received a Nevada Commission  on Tourism Matching Grant of $6,382 for a nationwide mailing to encourage tourism in northern Nevada.

In March 2010 we were awarded a $1,500 grant from the Thelma B. and Thomas P. Hart Foundation for operational expenses. This will be applied towards funding our new 5,000-sq. ft. bobcat enclosure.

The Gannett Foundation, through the Reno Gazette-Journal, has awarded us $2,930 for the bear enclosure video camera and centrally located monitor. This equipment will allow us to monitor the bears' condition and behavior and will provide fantastic viewing for our educational presentations..

The Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation has awarded us $2,500 toward the construction of a new fox enclosure, which will give the animals more room and will allow us to create an enriched environment that more accurately mimics their natural habitat.

BarrickLogo1Barrick Mining/Turquoise Ridge Joint Venture, an official sponsor of Safe Haven, contributed $1,300 to sponsor a bear cub.
