New 300K Matching Campaign!

Safe Haven has been given an amazing funding opportunity!

A very generous Reno supporter will be selling off several of his properties and has offered to donate $300,000 of the proceeds to Safe Haven for a Spring Matching Campaign.  He will match any amount up to $300,000 dollar-for-dollar.

In the last few years, many Nonprofit organizations have struggled with revenue, and Safe Haven is no exception.  Ever since Covid, our income has been gradually decreasing.  Although our wonderful Safe Haven supporters continue to donate to support the sanctuary, many have had to cut back on the amount of their donations, and some have not been able to continue at all. In contrast, all of our costs continue to go up.

Price increases and other economic woes have impacted us.  We are working very hard to increase our revenue and reduce expenditures as much as possible.  Our staff and interns provide daily animal care, educational presentations, and even construction – such as building a new den, landscaping, onsite tours, etc., enabling us to eliminate outside contractors and maintain minimal staffing.  Any new habitat construction must be fully funded before we can commit to new projects.
