At Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary, we depend greatly on our volunteers to make our daily operations possible.

Safe Haven Volunteer Activities

Volunteers are able to work at Safe Haven once a week, up to two hours max under the direct supervision of our Volunteer Trainers. Volunteers will be scheduled to assist during various on-site activities.
These include:

  • Answering the phone
  • Admitting animals
  • Construction (i.e. carpentry roofing, welding, etc.)
  • Grounds keeping and gardening
  • Giving tours
  • Light Habitat Building
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing/Public Relations
  • Painting/Staining

Daily assignments are provided to help inform and guide volunteers on the day(s) they are working.

Volunteer Age Requirement

Volunteers must be 18 years or older to be within the perimeter safety fence. Volunteers under 18 may still contribute to on-site projects not directly associated with the animals but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Become A Volunteer

Our volunteers are a direct part of our organizations success. Without dedicated volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to continue to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife in need. If you are interested in volunteering at Safe Haven or have further questions, please contact our Director for further information. We look forward to hearing from you.
