Seven-year-old Sage, was a privately owned pet in Colorado. It is illegal in Colorado to have bobcats as pets, and she was confiscated by Colorado Parks & Wildlife and placed with Safe Haven. Despite several attempts to merge her with other single bobcats, she is still housed by herself. But with so many new bobcat placements, we are hopeful that she can be successfully introduced to someone soon.

About Bobcats
Bobcats can be found throughout most the US and can live up to 15 years in the wild and up to 30 in captivity. Although generally solitary in the wild, female bobcats have been known to share overlapping territory. Although not considered endangered, they commonly fall victim to hunting and trapping due to their fine furs.
