Big Cat Internship – Summer/fall position
Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary, located in northern Nevada, provides lifelong care to big cats, small wild felids and native wildlife.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age.
Previous animal care experience.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to work in inclement weather.
5-day work week with two consecutive days off.
Responsibilities
Diet preparation and feeding
Administering Medications
Habitat cleaning
Operant conditioning and training
Provide educational presentations to the public
Maintain animal care records
Provide enrichment
Assist in safe capture
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship position. However, free onsite housing and a $600.00 per month stipend is provided.
